Extension of the "La Paloma" Study Centre
The project for the extension of the education centre in "La Paloma" includes the construction of a new accessible building for the disabled.
Issue
Until now the boys and girls of the Arrupe and Casa Lidy centres have been receiving English classes, computer classes, more specialised support, social entrepreneurship, etc. with specialised teachers in classrooms in "La Paloma", but an adequate structure is still lacking.
This project will provide the necessary training to give many people job opportunities.
Project Description
The project consists of the construction of a new building with classrooms and access for the disabled in which more than 60 boys and girls can improve their quality of learning. It will be open to more boys and girls in the area.
Results
The new centre will give an academic offer to boys and girls from the Battambang area, this will provide more employment options to a rural and disabled population without resources, thus favouring social integration.

Kike Figaredo: The project includes the construction of a new accessible building for the disabled, which will be a key location for our Arrupe Centre It has a library, a computer room, an English room and a staff room. This will complement the training of children and young people with disabilities and/or at risk of social exclusion at the Arrupe Centre and other welcome centres of the Apostolic Prefecture of Battambang.
We thank the Murúa family for their friendship and continued support, which began more than 6 years ago. Their care and affection have been key to providing these opportunities to our children and young people, thank you very much, Maga Foundation!”
